fishing report

by Capt Ted White 20 July 2010

OVERALL THE FISHING HAS BEEN GOOD AS WELL AS THE WEATHER. WE HAVE BEEN DOING SOME BOTTOM FISHING RECENTLY WITH GOOD RESULTS ON THE SEA BASS, THE FLUKE ARE STARTING, JUST A LOT OF SHORTS. THE BLUEFISHING HAS SLOWED A BIT COMPARED TO WHAT IT WAS, AND THE FISH ARE ON THE SMALL SIDE, GOOD EATING, BUT NOT THE SLAMMERS WE HAD A WEEK AGO.

SuperChic's First Fishing Report!

The bluefishing has been good the last few days, although Saturday was slow as the fish didn't bite very good during the day. Earlier in the week though, it was pretty much all you wanted. Chris Stasnek had his friends and family down on Thursday and they took home over 80 blues from 8-12 lbs. and the day before the guys from New Frontier Builders, Denver, Pa. had the same great fishing and weather!

We did our first offshore trip on Sunday, the weather was good, but the fishing had slowed a bit from earlier in the week. We ended up with 2 yellowfin tuna, the largest 45 lbs. and 4 mahi in the 7-9 lb class.

Monday the 12th, Gary Tyson treated his son, daughter, and grandchildren to some bottom fishing. They put together a nice catch of sea bass and ling.
